Business and Commerce
Thinking about doing business here? Here's all you need to know in one place.
Foreign businesses in the Plushie Kingdom
At the Plushie Kingdom, we welcome foreign businesses to take part in our economy. Before you start to do business in the Kingdom, you must make sure your business fufills these criteria:
- Your business is currently operating legally with no ongoing investigations, charges or other legal issues
- Your business does not involve anything that could be used to cause harm, such as weapons, surveillance tools and combat-related machinery
Once you have confirmed that your business fufills the criteria above, you can begin the process of opening a branch of your business in the Plushie Kingdom! Here are some quick things to know about our Kingdom:
- We use Ringgit Malaysia (RM) as our currency
- We are home to plushies from various countries and cultures, but use the Metric System for measurements and mainly speak British English for communication
- For holidays, we follow the public holidays of Malaysia
Tax and Finances
All financial matters are handled by the Ministry of Finance. For funding, only standard business loans are available for foreign businesses. Before starting business operations in the Kingdom, you MUST register with the Ministry of Finance to set up tax payments. For detailed information, such as tax rates and where to submit the tax payments, contact your nearest Ministry of Finance staff member.

Starting a business in the Plushie Kingdom
The Plushie Kingdom is a great place to start a business, thanks to its dense population, healthy economy and stable leadership. To start a business here, you must fufill the following requirements:
- You are a citizen of the Plushie Kingdom
- You have sufficient funding to sustain your business without income for at least 6 months (this will be determined from your business plan, we recommend having enough for 9 months or more if possible!)
- A clear business plan
Once you have fufilled the requirements above, let the Finance Minister know that you want to start a business in the Plushie Kingdom, and submit your business plan. The business plan is used to evaluate whether you have sufficient funding, and to assess the viability of your business. This will be done by the Finance Minister together with a randomised panel of 3 other business owners in the Kingdom (owners of both foreign and local businesses can be selected).
Tax and Finances
If all checks pass, you will be notified and asked to set up tax payments. For detailed information, such as tax rates and where to submit the tax payments, contact your nearest Ministry of Finance staff member. For local businesses, additional funding from the Government can be provided to accelerate growth and ensure success, provided that your business fufills these requirements:
- Your business was newly formed within the last 30 days (starting from the day you set up tax payments)
- Your business employs at least 1 other plushie than yourself
- Your business does not receive funding or have strategic partnerships with any other foreign business at the time of applying for additional funding
If your business fufills the requirements above, you may be eligible to receive funding equivalent to an additional 6 months of business operations, and enjoy reduced tax payments for the first year of business operations. For more details, contact your nearest Ministry of Finance staff member.
